Luckily, I had somehow saved my sms messages to the cloud without realising, and I was able to easily, and at no cost, restore almost all of the sms texts from my father.
I'll NEVER fall for anything like that again. Luckily, they found in my favour and refunded my money. I immediately disputed the transaction with my payment provider. I looked into 'rooting and it became clear its not something you want to try, if you have no idea what you're doing, as it can render your handset/device useless and risks all sorts of other problems. The program then told me I could only run a 'deep scan' if I 'rooted' my phone, and offered to sell me a phone 'rooting' program. I repeated the search several times, but nothing. Every message he sent me says 'Love you' at the end.Īnyway, when I used the program it did not retrieve a single deleted sms message, which is all I searched for. I was desperate to retrieve my recently deceased fathers sms text messages from the past two years, which I sadly accidentally deleted, along with every other sms message on my phone. Yeah, so unfortunately I fell for their scam.
